Synopsis: The movie "Guddiyan Patole" is a movie about two sisters and their grandmother who are sent by their mother to Punjab to attend certain family affairs. On their visit to Punjab, they are confronted by their maternal family members who are portrayed as superficial yet end up on good terms. The story has a romantic angle to it with all that is happening around.
Review: Guddiyan Patole is a high spirited that can make you cry at times while simultaneously go on and about with the movie. Sonam Bajwa and Tania portray the roles of two sisters who are living separately since their parents are divorced. Their parent's divorce serves as the pivot of the film since the mother (Manjeet) elopes with a foreigner against her mother's consent and later ends up parting ways. While the grandmother (Nirmal Rishi) promises herself to never let her daughter's behavior affect the family's reputation.
The twist begins when Manjeet, being aware of her
mother's anger sends her daughter (Tania) to Punjab to attend a family
function. Tania meets her sister (Sonam Bajwa) and they decide to tag along and
ultimately land up in Punjab where they meet a taxi driver (Gurnam Bhullar) who
accompanies them until the very end of the film.
Sonam is a typical tomboy female who doesn't give a damn about the world and
her persona is evident through her looks while some are drool-worthy and to die
for. However, Tania is a total contrast character as compared to her sister's
extrovert behavior.
The Story has a few loops however, Gurnam's role is one that has you hooked for
more. Overall, the family drama related able and there are many
positive aspects that one can genuinely look forward to.
When it comes to the direction of the film, Vijay Kumar Arora has done a commendable
job even when the film has female leads and subjected to them.
Music: Talking about the songs of the film, the tracks are enjoyable and the
the peppy title track is one that will be stuck on your mind for quite a long time.
