Five movies to look out for in 2018

2017 was an indeed a successful year as well as a controversial one for Punjabi Cinema, for we saw some really good movies like Rabb Da Radio, Nikka Zaildar 2, Rupinder Gandhi 2: The Robinhood, Lahoriye, Channa Mereya while on the other hand, Toofan Singh did not pass the CBC Board. Well, 2018 is officially here to bring to you some of the top movies that will get that adrenaline running. From Comedies to Drama and Thriller to Action-packed performances by some of your favorite artists, let's get a look at the Top 5 much-awaited movies of 2018.


1.Subedar Joginder Singh


The movie which will be produced by Punjabi Cinema's leading production House Saga Music is directed by Simerjit Singh. This movie is believed to depict Subedar Joginder Singh's (Portrayed by Gippy Grewal) life, struggle, and valor. He achieved his martyrdom in the Indian Army while fighting Chinese in the Indo-China war of 1962. The movie which also stars  Aditi Sharma will hit screens on 6th April 2018.



2.Sajjan Singh Rangroot


Sajjan Singh Rangroot is an upcoming project where Diljit Dosanjh and Pankaj Batra will be working together. The stills from the movie have proved that from location to costume everything is on fleek. It gives us the proper World war vibe and gets the blood rushing. The movie which also marks Sunanda Sharma's Debut in the Punjabi industry as an actor is all set for a release on the 23rd of  March 2018.



3. Carry On Jatta 2


Sameep Kang is all set to deliver double entertainment with his comedy packed punches in 2018 with the sequel of the hilarious comedy "Carry On Jatta". The star cast includes Gippy Grewal, Binnu Dhillon, Dr. Jaswinder Bhalla, Karamjit Anmol and Sonam Bajwa in pivotal roles. The movie is scheduled for a release on the 1st of June 2018.



4. Harjeeta



‘Harjeeta’ is an inspirational story of India's HJWC 2016 winning captain Harjeet Singh Tuli. The Biopic that will star Ammy Virk as the Captain, was proposed by Virk at a dinner party celebrating the W’Cup victory of Harjeet and also managed to get his parent's approval. The movie will focus on Men’s Hockey Junior World Cup (HJWC) 2016 in Lucknow and ended the nation’s 20-year drought in the junior championships by finally lifting coveted laurel. The movie will hit the theatres on the 30th of March 2018.



5. Khido Khundi


The star cast of the movie includes Ranjit Bawa, Manav Vij & Mandy Thakkar in pivotal roles. The hockey-based movie whose skills are quite impressive will be hitting the screens on the 2nd of March 2018.
